I have to agree I think It would be great if everyone could have helth care in this country. On the European Model, A right to health Care, people talk about not having any rights in this country, what about a little thing called the Bill of Rights, The rigth to bear arms, the right of freedon of speech and so on. The founding fathers did not fore see health care being what it is today.
In any civilized country, health care sould be a right!
I’m just saying the Right wing nut jobs in this country, seem to have thier priorities out of wack, thats all.
You idiots are correct, you do have the “right” to health care. You just don’t have the right to free health care! Put aside some of your weed and booze money and buy yourself some insurance. In an earier post the bill of rights was mentioned. Yes we do have the right to bear arms, that doesn’t mean the govt should buy you a gun. We have the freedom of speech, but they are going to supply you with the words to speak.

“A right to health Care” is not in the Constitution because it would have been ridiculous: such a right is an open checkbook.
Every year there are new tests, new drugs, new procedures, new life saving machines. Are you willing to freeze health care at 1970’s level and say “Oh I dont need an Open MRI so dont bother buying one for the hospitals in my city”?
When you have rising costs you either cover fewer people, have a lower standard of care, or over all costs rise.
If you look at the European model, access to the latest treatments is not commonly available. You could google any number of stories about UK citizen not being able to get NHS to pay for what are common cancer treatments in the US.
In general US cancer survival rates are 50% better than Europe.
Not to mention in the bill passed by the House, there are penalties of fines and jail time if you dont pay into the ObamaCare plan.
What kind of right do you have where you are forced to pay for other people’s health care or you go to jail.

Just watched the Yes Men movie online. While it was hilarious, the lives of these performance artists are a bit sad and vacuous.

The Bill of Rights isn’t there to tell us what rights we have. It was designed to tell the government what it CAN’T do.
One of the founders (I think Hamilton) didn’t want the Bill of Rights included in the Constitution because he was afraid that it would be interpreted as saying that these are our only rights. It would appear that he was correct.

We need to ignore climate models that are tweaked to get the desired results the global warming scare mongers want you to see and look at actual temperature records from the last 12 years or so that show not a rise in global temperature but a fall. It’s been warmer before we were around to put CO2 into the air and it’s been colder too. All this stuff is cyclical. CO2 is plant food, always has been, always will be. When it’s a bit to hot for you nancy’s, turn up the AC and blame the sun.
