Listen to this podcast again and tell me… does this guy sound like Ron Livingston or what?
hahahahahahahaha – didn’t think of it until that….but yeah.
hey im from arcadia i was born at methodist hospital! i love taco lita but it keeps getting more expensive! i want a burrito now i think ill go tomorow….
Van Hagar and Foo Fighters have put out some of the worst music in history.
Only Aerosmith is worse.
They were pale imitations of Van Halen and Nirvana.
Honnold, you’re an asshole.
Excellent podcast, guest very engaging, good informal chemistry.
Great, great podcast,. I grew up on Van Halen. It was awesome to hear you two go back and forth. Adam knows how to get it on.
This is where the long format really works. I’m about the same age as Adam and it was very interesting to hear all that Michael Anthony had to say. This format gave Adam the time to dig and get a lot more out of MA than a typical 6 minute interview is going to give you. Adam has a way of putting his guests at ease and make you feel like your over hearing a really interesting conversation with two people who you don’t normally talk to. Because Adam was so obviously curious of his guests stories he less prone to endlessly rant (although I love his rants – they can become too much and lose their potency).
Haven’t listened yet but, based on the pictures, I can’t imagine what you two could have possibly discussed.
Great show. Thanks Ace and co. get the f’k on, c**ts
Fraser, you’re a stupid, goony brown noser w/ no taste.
Fuck VH for replacing MA with jr. How fucking disgraceful is that? And Hagar has more talent in his shit than Mr. zeebeeboopeedeebop could ever have. Interesting p-c, Ace.
Donny is the new Bald Bryan. No matter what the guest says, Donny immediately has the picture up on the screeen. Its really amazing (hopefully Donny doesnt get brain cancer too though HAHAHAHAHHAA)

this has been one of my favorite podcasts so far. mike is such a great guy, and the dude is a legend. there was a book sammy sued to keep from being released but 2 chapters were leaked, if you google it you can find and read them, mike really got the shit end of the deal in VH for years and years, and althogh sam and mike are really cool dudes and great musicians, and i wish chickenfoot all the sucess in the world, i must say i saw van halen with roth and eddies kid in 2008, and i almost feel bad saying it was one of the greatest shows i’ve ever seen. that being said, i would have MUCH rather seen mike playing bass on the roth reunion tour.but from the sounds of it, hes doing just fine financially and mentally without having to put up with eddies addictions and bullshit
Adam,
Very interesting podcast…you need to get more old school rockers on, love hearing stories from the 80s!
Definitely one of the more interesting podcasts. Michael Anthony sounds like a pretty good guy. Should have pushed him harder on WTF happened with him and Van Halen. You were almost there…but then wussed out.
But…it was good stuff. You should get some more old school rockers dude. I was glued to the Iphone for that one.
most enjoyble!!!!!
I thought of the bong paper gasket last night as a realized that I was getting pimples exactly where the bong touches my face.
What the hell Anthony!!! DLR-Era Van Halen was 5 studio albums and Hagar-era recorded more records? Insane liar! VH 1978-1984 was SIX ALBUM. Van Hagar was 4 studio albums!
You don’t know this like the back of your hand?
Do you recall your birthday, by any chance?
You do wake up and recall your first name – on some mornings, at least. Right?

Adam,
Thanks for the podcast…one thing I can always count on you for is variety, and Michael Anthony was a nice ride to the past, and to the future w/ Chickenfoot. I had not heard of the group, but checked out their site because of the podcast.
Keep up the good work and all the variety.
great guy! ACE mediocre, his style is great, if you don’t care for the guest, but here he was too vague and distracted, could have gone more into the firing of Mike, the Garry Cherone desaster, dynmics in the band, the brown M&Ms etc…
