Great podcast Ace, though I’ll have to echo some of the comments already made. On interrogation techniques and airport profiling, your heart’s in the right place, but the facts don’t back you up.
It might seem compelling, but you gotta know that the terrorist’s job is to blow up a plane, and if they want to do that, it’s not hard to figure out how to get around a profile.
These are terrible. It’s just Adam blowing hard and telling the same stories over and over. Get the guests back in or get bald bryan and teresa back in.

First off, I love Adam and have been a fan for a long time. Adam is one of the funniest off the cuff comedians I’ve ever heard. But the terrorist rant was dead wrong. I agree with “Aussie Dude’s” comment. Although I think certain torture is justified in some circumstances, even waterboading. Terrorists don’t hate us (the U.S) because we are rich, they also hate the British because we (U.S) and the British have been bombing and meddling with countries in Western Asian regions for a century. Read up on “The Siege of Kut.” If it were true that they hated the rich, they wouldn’t need to travel so far either, there are many countries in the Western Asian region and the Middle East that are tremendously wealthy, yet don’t seem to be a target. The CIA themselves know and have written of why we (and the Brits) are main targets and it is because of what they call “blowback.”
Your rant on terrorism and capital criminals/prisioners is understandable. You are not less of a human because you want to send people away to their maker. However, neither are those who want a merciful solution. Somewhere in between these statements is a common sense answer that will allow society to kill these neanderthals as a protective means without ignoring a meaningful and just process. I’m sure the last thing anyone wants is to kill someone who is actually innocent.
It seems to me that this stupid stalemate of keeping people alive forever, in jail, is neither merciful nor just. Freekin politicians need pull their head out of their ass and approach this issue in a reasonable fashion, not in the pandering and slimy way most are often trending towards.

Adam’s more entertaining with idiot teenagers calling in than people who can only tell him how great he is. Here’s a tip: when trying to say you are evolved, don’t list a lot of beliefs that have been held since the Middle Ages, maybe since the dawn of man, such as the death penalty and torture. Whether or not one agrees with them, you’re not lining up with the term “evolved” with those points. Also, isn’t Osama bin Laden supposed to be filthy rich? I’m sure the rabble could be jealous of our way of life, but how would jealousy be the main motivator of our number one enemy?

The FBI used interrogation techniques that worked. They take time, and boils down to getting the suspect to relate to the interviewer. These work.
People like to think that 9/11 was part of some large campaign and that someone up the terrorist chain new about it. This is false. Lets say you and your friends decide to rob a bank,. as long as you don’t tell any one there is no way to prevent you from attempting that.

I am not ‘anti-torture’ I am a use science to figure out what works best. If we could be sure it was used on people that had substantial proof they are involved, and it worked -meaning it got reliable information, most of the time, then yeah use it. as it turns out the world isn’t like the movies. It’s a waste on time. rarely works, and there is no real vetting of who gets tortured.
regarding Envy -
You are correct, it’s envy that angers these people, but religion is the excuse used to manipulate people. We wan’t to deal with them in smart ways that doesn’t add fuel to there religious excuses.
Racial profiling is difficult becasue as soon as you inmplement it, they change their operation. Oh, we look for middle aged men, one way with no luggage. Well then gued what? they buy round trip tickets, booked in advance and bring luggage. Now are security is worse then before. FYI some profiling does go on. If you buy a one way ticket on short notice.
Of course the real solution is in aircraft design. The Pilots need to be behind a secure door with their own lavatory and food. If they spent money on that, they could go back to pre 9/11 security measures.
Don’t get me started on how stupid airport security is.

Yeah, screw the trolls Adam & Donny, you rock and I agree. I’m not sure if he said 2.99 a week, or 2.99 for each show you personally get. I do not get the improv casts, it’s just not my cup of tea. But I have said before and will say again, I will pay a reasonable subscription fee. I will also get his book the day it comes out to throw some change into the Ace Jar. This is the best talk radio ever. Either way, I love the and You casts and the Almost Live casts. I know he said there’s a Facebook page now. Anyone know where to find it??
