Jay Leno’s master mechanic Bernard Juchli is this week’s guest on CarCast. Adam Carolla and Matt D’Andria talk with the man behind all of the restorations and maintenance at Jay Leno’s famous Big Dog garage. Juchli was an aircraft mechanic who later owned and managed a Jaguar maintenance business for 20 years. He’s also a top amateur and vintage race driver. We also talk about his 1961 Flxible [sic] Starliner bus, which he uses as his tow vehicle.

Grunewald started drag racing in 1995, then switched to road racing in 2000, competing in Grand-Am. In 2009, he formed Conrad Grunewald Racing and built a 2010 Camaro SS drifter car. He brings the car to the shop and fires it up, throwing some of the loudest, heaviest revs we’ve heard.
