This weeks show we feature Carsten Preisz of Spyker America. Carsten brings in a Spyker C8 Laviolette. Adam and Sandy then hit some practice sessions over at the Toyota Pro/Celebrity race and gab with legendary driver Steve Millen and finally a chat with Chuck Wade of Toyota to talk about the Scion’s that are being used in the race. While Adam is training for the Toyota Long Beach Celebrity Race, Sandy and Matt take your for tour of Bodie Stroud’s new Hot Rod Shop. Matt D’Andria jumps in as we look at Bodie’s projects which range from a 1956 Pickup to a new build he is just beginning that is based on a Boss 429 idea. Then Professor Ganz gets roped into more free labor instead or working on his projects, but at least he gets to explode a tire onto a rim backwoods style. And finally a peek at Mike Rowe’s first car.
You may have seen Mike Rowe on Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs, shoveling who knows what, but for this weeks show we take it easy with him and have him tell you a bit about his first ‘small’ car.
Adam and Sandy have a special guest this week, Tanner Foust. We talk about the Toyota Celebrity Grand Prix, then pump Tanner for some inside information on the movie Red Dawn (re-make) the he is doing some stunt driving in, Then we check out his awesome Mulholland drift video. Top Gear makes it into the conversation, and Adam’s fun drive to Pahrump Nevada. Enjoy!
Adam and Sandy head out to Hollywood Hot Rods and meet up with owner Troy Ladd. They check out some of his shop and his cars. We also take a look at a new project using the new Ford 5.0 Coyote motors. We pop back to work on The Ripper and do some cutting for the new radiator. Then a look at a ‘Back to the Future’ car from the TMPCC car show. Enjoy!
Sandy and Matt get busy again. We start out with a quick post mortem on the engine and look at the block and a few of the mangled parts. Then we jump in with the air cutoff and chop a larger opening in the radiator support for the new Fluidyne radiator.
Ganz runs solo traveling down to the 2010 Grand National Roadster show. He brings along some friends, and talks with Jimmy Shine, Bodie Stroud, Steve Strope, Troy Ladd, and finally the Ring Brothers. Lots of cars, some odd and fun conversation you would expect. We may even have a roadster in the show. Enjoy!
Adam and The Professor get going on yanking the motor out of the Ripper. The Ripper is Sandy’s 1965 Fastback Mustang road race car. We take a peek at the new engine and transmission and here the big plan. We also take some time off for phone calls and a restart of celebrity first cars by fittingly bringing back Christoph Waltz’s First Car to kick off the Oscar’s (He is a shoe in!)
