Sunbeam Tiger

Ganz’s Sunbeam Tiger

1966 MK1A Sunbeam Tiger. This car is a work in progress. The idea for picking up a Tiger was to get one before they became too expensive and have a fun American/British car. The car stock is in fair shape but it’s got good bones as they say. The main purpose of this is to make a light weight car with a modern engine that looks old. Sounds simple until you realize that the old part leave many areas of the car that need improvement. Including Brakes, Cooling, suspension, etc. This is a good project car and will be flavored more towards a track car then street. I wonder if it will be painted with tiger stripes or red with a black hood…

The TWM stacks are sweet. The are not on the dyno’ed motor now and I need to get them on. Just one more part of the package that will make the Tiger Extra Scary looking…

    Ganz,

Sweet Wilwood brakes, but it looks you’ve got the caliper mounted upside down. The bleed screws need to be pointed up. Just a little tip from your pal at Wilwood.

Yeah, yet one more thing to trip me up. I need to make sure the caliper is the right direction too :)

Hopefully it’s symetric if I have to flip the crossover tube. Given how much has been off on this project you can be sure I’ll be doing more work to make it happen. Or will be pulling calipers to bleed which would not be fun…

Yep just walked out will have to flip the crossover tube. Good eye!

It’s a custom kit that someone makes up for the Tiger. Check my website at http://www.gtsparkplugs.com I think it may have more details on it and the brake saga.

The spindles are MustangII and rack is later model mustang. The rest is all custom made.

Not much, working on the Mustang shortly and after then will get back on the Tiger. I have the build motor and a few other parts, but not much going on. Spread too thin these days…
