Show Summary
At the top of the show, Adam rants about how you can tell a city by the condition of their airport. He also goes on a tangent about bread bowls and complains about gum in the carpet. Alison then opens the news discussing the charging of the two Fullerton officers who beat and killed a homeless man earlier this year. Later, they talk about an online feud between Bobcat Goldthwait and Diablo Cody, and also do some tax talk regarding ‘The Buffet Rule.’ The last news story is about a fired Charlie’s Angel’s crewmember, and Alison reads a fan letter.
On the phone today is activist and anthropologist Jane Goodall. She talks with Adam about her upcoming one night only event that’s being screened in 500 movie theaters across the country. Adam also inquires about her early days of researching chimps in Africa, and finds out more about how the family units work in ape communities. The whole conversation reminds Adam of how inactive his own mother was in his life.
In the last part of the show, Alison reopens the news discussing both the Roast of Charlie Sheen, and also the premiere of the new Sheen-less Two and a Half Men. Adam shares his thoughts on both programs, and also talks about the first time he met Jeff Garland. Also in the news is a story about a very serious college prank, and the show wraps up as Adam recalls his favorite pranks from childhood.

Most unexpected Carolla guest ever. Looking forward to a listen.
where is the pic of the floor?
“A’s” V a ok with me!!! P.S GET IT ON!!!
Welp, I’m done listening to you. I downloaded your podcast since the beginning, But, I can’t listen to your tax rants anymore. You are simply wrong and uninformed about tax law. I’m a tax lawyer with a history BA and I can confidently say it has never been better to be rich in America and never worse to be middle class or poor. Your tax proposals of a complete flat rate would either impoverish the middle class (who are hard working) or fail to fund government programs (like public schools and roads which you have admitted have already become essentially unusable). Sure we could cut welfare and many people would find jobs (broadening the tax base), but many others would turn to crime. I don’t really give a shit about these people except that taking them off welfare would screw hard working people that would be subject to muggings, robbery, and other acts of truly desperate people. I look at welfare as crime control. Simply, rich can afford to pay more, others can’t. Also, your premise that rich people are rich because they are hard working (and therefore more deserving) while true to a point is not true in all instances nor proportional. Meaning, you are 1,000 times richer then Bald Bryan do you really think you work 1,000 times harder. You are significantly richer then me, but I seriously doubt you put in more hours a day. Anyways, I could go on about your many flawed premises in tax policies but you won’t read this and I’m tired.
In summary, stop complaining about taxes. You are rich, you can afford it. Plenty of people can’t who work a lot harder then you do. Tax law and policy is a shit ton more complicated then you realize.
+1
Listen to Jane Goodall on Fresh Air of NPR.
Alex, your no fucking tax lawyer with a BA in history, shut your pie hole. Adam pays a shit load of taxes, he has the right to rant. Besides, at least he employs people, do you? Nope. Fucking tax lawyer with a BA in history, fuck.
@Alex. I think you need to find one of those yoga classes to develop the ability of sucking your own cock.
lol @ alex, lol @ pervy gramps carolla [see pic]
Maaaaaaaaaaan, Alison’s CHOLA eyebrows are too freakin’ distracting. If it’s not her eyebrows then the same damn boots she takes everywhere.
Hi Alison, love ya
so we can not look forward to Alex being on the message board tomorrow complaining about his free entertainment…..great, what a loser. Its ironic Jane Goodall is on because poop fliging chimps are smarter than Alex. please stop listening dude, we all hat you…….go back where you belong. On the Maron board sucking his npr listening ass
Can’t stand Adam’s cynical, repetitive ranting? Then listen to the Big 3 podcast and find out whether Perry’s gay!
Adam’s schtick is that of the cranky asshole and he certainly outdid himself in today’s podcast sooking about potentially having to be forced to pay a few extra bucks out of his massive paypacket.
i’d say the best bet for rich folk is to leave the country that provided you with the opportunity to get rich and f@ck off to somewhere like the Caymans.
if you don’t love this country, then leave!
bunch of f@ckheads. all of you.
other than that, great show, keep it up!
We will all miss you.
Whats up with the downs guy Adam and Alison are posing with, I didn’t see any mention of him in the show summary.
Guys relax!
Alex is correct. Sliding percentages matter in people’s lives. Ask Adam’s accountant about simple interest versus compound interest if you need more on the topic.
Adam is not rich – he is wealthy. he is well off. Meaning he has enough money to not have to worry about shelter and food being paid for in the next month. That is the American Dream.
I am a fan and saw his W-2 that he showed the audience in Tempe AZ. I thought that was great! His message was that anyone can make it if you follow your passion.
Adam has an accountant and has no idea the percentage of his overall taxes. He would not know if they took an extra percentage from his taxes unless his accountant told Adam. Just like he has no idea the amount of “extra” money that he has “earned” from the Bush Tax cuts.
Did Adam work harder cleaning carpets or slinging a hammer than he does today? Probably “worked” harder back then. Adam probably paid very little taxes if any when he was in that stage of his life. But Adam still drives on the same street into his Mother’s house and that cost to maintain that street does not decrease.
Adam – keep up the podcast – and I wish you all the success in Life.
“Tax Lawyer” my ass. You have no idea what you are talking about.
I hate all monkeys…from chimpan-A to chimpan-Z!
Amen, Alex. Looks like I’ll be skipping a good portion of yet another podcast. (I’m a fan since the early LL days, BTW.) I do look forward to the Goodall interview, though. Good get, even if it’s a phoner.
Ally looks especially cute in this pic.
I hate myself for laughing at big jim’s post
Alison has really made this podcast fresh and exciting again. If she hadn’t come into the mix, I would have stopped listening long ago. And she is fucking hot.
Absolutely correct. I can’t stand Adam’s tax rants, they are completely insane, unfunny, and unlikable.
Alison and Bald Bryan need to help out by keeping Adam away from topics like taxes, and providing fresh things for him to improvise on, like the relationship calls always did on Loveline.
Actually–he’s probably right. If Carolla really does pay that much in taxes, he doesn’t have investments, etc. And his premise is sound, while Adam may not like it, I think almost everyone agrees we should provide for those who can’t, and our issue with things like welfare is that I’m not sure we knew what that would look like as it does today. Carolla also doesn’t work so hard he earned it all. He IS however talented in a way most of us aren’t. He can do something unique. That doesn’t equate to “harder” work.
I understand where Alex is coming from.
fresh air smells like farts
We’re not advanced enough for gum yet.
I agree with everything you said, except for your use of the word “Welp”.
Holy crap they actually talked about something relevant. I am shocked. Obama’s trite rhetoric about the “millionaires and billionaires” as juvenile and illogical and the stats clearly are not his friends.
That must have painful for Alison to read. These stats really do not help “fair share” propaganda. How about the bottom 45% pays 5 % income tax into the system since they pay nothing?
Fair would be everyone paying the same % wouldn’t it? It is your responsibility to better your own existence and work towards making more income, not punish people’s achievement. How about the fairtax ( http://www.fairtax.org ) instead of the current system?
Is it any question why our economy is in the tank? These people have no idea how capitalism works. Oh wait, yes they do. It is incompatible with their ideology and does not work into their statists agenda so they do the opposite that would turn us back on a prosperous path. Their ideals are not compatible with our republic.
They have been slowly screwing the proceeding generation since the 60’s and it is time for their Marxists dream to end. We want jobs, we want better opportunities for wealth, and we want personal freedom and we want to weave our own destinies not labor under the chains federally planned society.
Please resign so we can grow again. Is it 2012 yet?
Taxes Talk make me horny
Wahhhh. Lefties cant handle any other take on anything without getting sand in their vaginas.
Those of us non-commies have to suffer through untold hundreds of uninformed libtard rants from entertainers . Toughen up and realize not everyone shares your candy assed world view.
It is not your money. You have no right to it. The government has no right to it. Adam pays enough, we all (well something tells me not you) pay enough.
Grow up and stop being a lemming. You want more money. Get your lazy ass out there and invest in making that happen. Stop complaining about that others have.
Be responsible for yourself
This kind of childish BS is why America is in this situation. Educate yourself, then speak.
Government education at its finest.
We should help, We not the government seizing income to create welfare junkies.
By the way, here’s something that’s striking:
People who agree with Alex *ALL* found the proper “Reply” button.
Meanwhile *ALL* but one of the people who disagree with him failed to do so. A few are aware of their failure so they at least include “@Alex” in their posts.
I think that tells you all you need to know. It’s clear that we who agree with Alex are smart and you who disagree are stupid. And we are right and you are wrong. It really is that simple.
While I generally agree with you Alex, you should try using “than” instead of “then.” I have a BA in grammar history…as far as you know.
Hear, Hear Peter B.
Adam . your tax rants are very poor. Stop talking about it. Your points are ill informed and non educated. Stop talking about it.
On Alison’s website, she has some photos and there are a couple of photos of her not wearing boots. Now they are not great photos, she is wearing stockings but you can see some unbooted shin. It was enough for me to masurbate.
I agree wholeheartedly…
I noticed that the percentage of “Alison chatter” had gone up recently. You think she is getting it regularly now?
ADAM is 100% right about TAXES. Jealous liberal Obama voters SHUT UP!!!!!
jim,
Adam is correct regarding taxes. Your post, on the other hand, is very poor and smells of tiny-minded jealousy coupled with an education that somehow avoided basic sentence structure, punctuation, and grammar.
It’s little wonder you’re not amused by successful people like Adam who’d appreciate a fair shake from an increasingly extortionate tax code that’s based on little more than class warfare.
That sure is a lot of words. I’m not going to read them because I don’t want to.
Adam, Singapore is the cleanest city for gum, which actually has a ban since 1992. They cane people for importing it. Their thoughts of irresponsible people sticking it under tables and disposing of it with no disregard of people around them are in alignment with how you feel about the issue.
I agree with most of what Adam talks about but his rants on taxes are just insulting to the hard workers that listen to him.
Maybe those people who don’t know how to “reply” on a message board have been to busy working and accomplishing things to learn to do so up to this point.
Lot of people have been complaining about Adam’s tax views but I have a funny feeling he pays more in taxes per year than all those folks put together and the only reward he gets from the government is having the president infer that his kind is ruining the country.
As someone who doesn’t put much at all into the system, I’d like to thank Adam and his kind for pulling my weight and their own and acknowledge that I completely understand him expressing his opinion on the matter while blowing off some steam.
I think your “tax lawyering” is about as good as your grammar
Characterizing the rich as money grubbers who need to be forced to pay their share is equally fallacious as characterizing the poor as people who won’t work hard.
On taxes, Adams’ rant is:
ME-ME-ME-MUH-ME-ME-ME-ME
Ironically, his wish that we go back to the 50′s (with stay at home wives and men as the breadwinners / head of the household) can’t happen now. Back then, the rich paid the majority of the taxes instead of the working class.
Weird show today
Singapore is spectacular; probably the best run country in the world. It would be interesting to have Adam visit there on holiday and see how many rants he comes back with.
I don’t disagree that Adam is uninformed, however, it is ABSOLUTE NONSENSE that there has “never been a worse time to be middle-class or poor.” The lower-middle class live like kings today compared to the same group of any other time in history. People just want to feel like victims, o rthat they have it worse than anyone before them. Talk to your fucking grandparents about what it was like to be in the working class back in their time, and tell me how hard you have it now. Talk about ignorant.
I cannot disagree agree with you in any way. The middle class is working harder than ever for less $ than in decades. Manyof us are not making it. It’s a serious problem.
but
don’t forget this is just a comedy show
I feel for the Aceman. It’s no fun paying taxes when you spend every penny you earn. Carolla will have to sell a few of his vintage Lambo’s so that welfare bums can go around driving Cadillac’s. The system is so unfair.
By the way, when and how are we going to pay for our military efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq?

Jane Goodall? Yes surprising good
The thing is, a guy like Adam probably pays 35% of his income in taxes every year, maybe more. While Bill Gates pays closer to 15% (from what I can find online).
This goes completely against Adam’s concept of having a flat tax rate. He should be more angry than I am.
Also, Jane Goodall is a strange but awesome choice of guest.
Ugh, another Adam TAX RANT?
Freakin’ broken record
Great to hear “ricockulous” return. But anything that ends with the grating “shut the fuck up” refrain is ironically exactly the sort of empty gesture that, just a few minutes before, he’d attributed to jersey shore types. There’s a legitimate argument about taxes that reaches his conclusion; he’s just not making it.
Good point. I’m convinced now.
Alex, you’re an idiot. The only reason the tax rants are not funny is because you are of the mindset that rich people are evil and the middle class suffer.
I personally think they are hilarious. Why? Because I know people like you are sitting there squirming because you are middle class or poor, and you’re too fucking stupid to realize that the reason you are where you are is because you put yourself there. The rich whitey never put you down, YOU put you down. Probably skipped out high school, for gone college? That doesnt matter as long as you’re willing to work hard in whatever you pursue, but I doubt you did that. You probably played soccer as a kid, probably whimped out on doing what is necessary in life to make youself better and blame the people who do work hard on your problems. Let me define hard work. Someone who is willing to work 7 days a week and put in 15 hours a day (or more). Every rich person I know works like crazy. Im not rich, im middle class.
So if you think that taxing the rich more is the only solution to this problem then I would suggest how much you think is reasonable amount to pay? 50%, 80%, how about we just take it all. They didnt deserve it do they? I mean, why would you want to work and be inventive and come up with a product that people want when that money just goes away anyway. Why do people own businesses and hire people if the money they make will just be taken? Thats wonderful incentive.
Anyway, back to the reason for this post. Fuck you alex. Enjoy your poverty.
I got an idea, lets all pay 17% and call it even, no credits, no write offs…Ace pays more than his share, we should all dream to be pissed and be in his position…those who aren’t always seem to have the same opinion, and it stinks, like A’s V-jay
Adam’s TAX rant 30:00-40:25
You’re welcome.
I feel like your points may be better served if you could support them with something that wasn’t just a slew of personal insults.
the point is that it is just an OPINION of ONE man, but the main problem is that his show just became predictable blather. its funny that he hates the morning zoo radio format but thats exactly what has happened with his podcast.
Bill Gates pays a lower % because he pays different taxes. If he pays himself any kind of salary, I am sure it is not a lot. Difference is the type of taxes being paid.
If he is like Warren Buffett, he pays himself a salary of around $100,000.00 a year which puts his income tax at a lower bracket (under $200,000.00) and he can claim his income tax rate is lower than his secretary, who gets a $300,000.00 a year in salary and there for pays a high income tax rate.
That does not mean that either of those men is not paying a shitload more taxes.
The big difference in the type of taxes being discussed.
Everyone regarding taxes: Take a little time to be quiet.
Thadeus- there is a difference in taxes on your wages and taxes on investment income. Taxes on investement income is lower to encourage more investment.
I agree, I dozed off at welp Ledgehardwood, ya it is…
While people are profession dropping, I’m a CPA (albeit audit, not tax) and I agree with Ace 100%.
Suck it Alex
The pic of Adam Jimmy Sara and Jeff Garlin was during Ace’s Gansta period, I noticed too on the Matt Farrah(sp?) Raptor Truck Car cast… I like the plaid, also; Alison looks so sexy when she’s not wearing black… just saying
Amen Mr. Durden
A very strong show. Having Jane Goodall as a guest was surprising but a nice change of pace, it was a good and very informative interview. Nice to have some of these interviews thrown in between the show biz guests that are usually on.
Good job ACE Network.
- R
agreed on Alison. When she wears something with colour, she dazzles.
The top 10% of wage earners ($250k+) pay 60% of the taxes in this country AND they do pay their fair share.
http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/breaking/chi-data-the-rich-actually-do-pay-more-taxes-20110920,0,3645513.story
Alison heads up, Estraining Ray Oray Deray on Bob J-ay
She does look cute as a button today. Maybe even two buttons. But not three.
Umm, how about Marc Cuban’s take on taxes. Keep in mind, he probably has 10X the amount of money than the AceMan and probably pays that much more in taxes.
http://blogmaverick.com/2011/09/19/the-most-patriotic-thing-you-can-do-2/
Just thinking of Adam’s jag recently about the movie “Drive” and how some details bothered him.
There are CONTINUITY mistakes in his movie “The Hammer” (go check IMDB).
Isn’t that being hypocritical?
OMG Jane Goodall That is a get!

Cool this has turned into a tax talk forum. Lets look at some numbers (just an amateur, so might be misinterpreting) from the 2012 federal budget summary tables. And keep in mind these are fiscal not calendar years.
Total Outlays : $ 3,456 billion(2010), $3,771 billion (2011)
Total Receipts: $ 2,163 billion (2010), $ 2,174 billion (2011)
Receipts from individual taxes: $ 899 billion (2010), $ 956 billion (2011)
Receipts from corporate income taxes: $191 billion (2010), $198 billion (2011)
I wonder which of the two above groups can afford tax professionals to minimize taxes?
I also wonder if any individuals are rich enough to do the same?
Wait maybe there are.
The marginal federal tax rate on single individuals was 35% in 2010 and 2011 for amounts greater than approx $ 370,000. According to the study cited in the show the top .1% pay an average of 16.4% on amounts greater than 1.974 million. I wonder how that happens?
caning medieval
Hey Alison and Adam,
Here another take on the federal income tax discussion you two were having. It explains in pretty good detail why INVESTORS like Warren Buffett are paying a lower percentage of their income, then those who make the majority of their income (high or low) in some other fashion. He’s taking advantage of a loophole for investors and therefore paying less than others in his income bracket.
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2011/aug/18/warren-buffett/warren-buffett-says-super-rich-pay-lower-taxes-oth/
I notice that there is about a 1.5 Trillion dollar shortfall and even if all taxes (individual and corporate) were doubled, that still would not be enough to pay the yearly debt, let alone the 15 Trillion we already owe. So I don’t think taxing the rich is going to cut it. It does not seem like a 100% or 150% increase in taxes would be good for the private sector economy. It looks like we need to cut a lot of Federal spending. But of course I am not an economist. Maybe playing class warfare by taxing the rich and paying our debts by just printing more money will work out just fine, with no negative consequences.
Allison’s got some weird taste…Dr. Drew and Bobcat.
Alison looking great today. Disappointed it was not the Minka I was thinking of.
Lets take a look at outlays in 2010
Security “discretionary” $ 815 billion (military spending is in here)
Non-security “Discretionary” programs $ 491 billion
Social Security $ 701 billion
Medicare: $ 446 billion
Medicaid: $ 273 billion
Other mandatory programs: $ 644 billion
Where should we not spend money?
I might be wrong but Social security, and the Medicare/Medicaid funding comes from worker/employer deductions not income taxes per se.
Forget class warfare, warfare warfare is pretty expensive, If we want a powerful military we have to spend money to keep it. That’s just how it is.
love me a bread bowl
They have been using those new ketchup containers at the Chick-fil-a near my home. They are GREAT, especially for kids. Neat and easy to use.
The money they take out of our pay does not cover the SS cost. The SS shortfall alone is in the trillions. Second but same circumstance, is Medicare. Huge shortfalls. These programs were not originally created to cover as many people as they do and will.
SS for anyone under the age of 50 needs to be either eliminated or the type of system used needs to be changed.
“Other mandatory programs: $ 644 billion” only because of congressional legislation and must be pieced through to see their legitimacy.
The only actual constitutional spending on your list, besides some that is probably included in the “other”, is defense spending.
I’ve never been forced to listen to this podcast. I do it willingly.
what the fuck Alison some what disagreeing with Adam on taxes. I sense a great darkness in her. and by great darkness I mean she is getting job offers. now that she might not need adam she is finallly going to give him some lip.
Aceman – get it on. I am a huge fan of your words and complaints.
With great respect for your ideas, I wonder if you could continue to push intelligent discourse on the taxes / use of services issue by listening to something I saw on the web and commenting on it.
http://thedailywh.at/2011/09/22/explainer-of-the-day-3/
kick ass to get Jane Goodall on the program. I worked with some folks at the Jane Goodall Institute some years ago, and I have a lot of respect for her, and for you to bring her on the show. I admit that I am only half way through the podcast as of this writing.
Zip it, you so-and-so,
R
Another one for Ace bingo: “Shut the FUCK OOOAUUPPP!!!!!!”
I hear ya about the antibacterial floor mats in airports, Aceman. But it was announced recently that before too long the whole removing shoes thing will be going away, so…
I think Jeff Garlin was a last minute replacement for Artie Lange who had his drug induced implosion… Bread Basinet… LOL
Jane Goodall sounded like a nightmare kinda guest. She had no sense of humor. He publicist should have briefed her on the fact that she was coming on a comedy podcasts and jokes would be happening.
Dear Comrades: Income inequality is the issue here. If middle class wages kept pace with the earnings of the wealthy, the current tax ‘burden’ of the rich would be less pronounced. As wealth continues to aggregate, the wealthy as a group, will pay a higher dollar amount than the middle and below.
agreed, super serious person with no sense of humor but Adam turned lemons into lemonade…
On tomorrow’s podcast: Adam has fired Olga, and now has nanny problems with the new heavy-set Woman of Color that he replaced her with. In related news, Ray Oldhaffer pissed all over Dr. Drew after Drew explained to Ray that urine is sterile…wait a minute…with the free space…that’s BINGO! Hey, this is fun!
You skipped something in the fourth row, retard.
You can’t have 2 free spaces, especially next to each other.
“Brushing your teeth with Vagisil.” BWAHAHAHAHA!
I’m an analyst at an actuarial firm and I agree with him, too.
Hey Adam & crew, can you start posting all the photos you’re talking about?
Seems like every podcast there are some missing. Today, for example, was the photo of the SFO carpet.
that ‘resuming episode’ broad on Stitcher sounds hot
Shut your supermarket pie-hole Steve S you dumb fucking twat. Goodall is a LEGEND you sad sap.
Very interesting podcast. Would love to fuck Allison.
The best part of every Ace podcast is hearing Adam complain about how much he has to pay in taxes because he makes so much money.
AC, please keep up the tax talk. It makes for a great day on the comments board and will hopefully shake off some of the dead leaves.
Listen ASPCA we all want to fuck Alison but a person can have no sense of humor but still be a respected figure but half the fault may have been that shitty call quality.
Actually, the best part is the whining it generates on the message board. Oh yeah!!
Jane seems like a sweet lady but I always view people without a sense of humor as suspect. What is it that Adam says about people that love animals a little too much..?
I’d be a dick to someone who loaned me money if they whined every goddamn minute about it.
The “ultra rich” are paying less in taxes because they often are paid in the form of dividends. So they are paying Capital Gains Tax (15% I believe), NOT income tax. It’s a lower rate because there is risk involved in inverments. Raising the rates on the current progressive income tax codes does not make them pay their “fair share”, whatever that means.
Removing federal income tax and establishing a flat sales tax seems fair to all classes, even the evil top 2% wealthy everyone seems to hate (envy). Search YouTube for “Herman Cain Explains the Fair Tax.”
I am surprised to see the haters about Jane Goodall – I was pleasantly surprised at how well executed and interesting the interview between Aceman and Jane fuckin Goodall. When I saw the guest I thought it was a typo or a prank – I would never have thought this pairing would ever have happened. I am actually impressed how Ace was able to keep the interview moving and interesting.
I was expecting a train wreck of an interview – especially when I saw it was a phone interview. This interview should be one for the history books.
End thread.
Jane could be interviewed by a chimp, and it would be interesting.
Because she’s really interesting.
And she’s really good at dealing with chimps.
Goodall is 30 years older than Adam and from a different culture. The British of that generation do have a sense of humor, but it doesn’t revolve around what does or does not sound like a “porn name.” It revolves around fat men chasing topless bimbos to Yakkety Sax.
I thought the interview with Goodall was surprisingly enjoyable. Maybe they have different sensibilities but they are both good speakers and it helped out a lot.
God damn abou ttime you guys have a realx picture. Adam , B and A look very real. This is what i’m talking about..
Thank you A for finally wearing something other then Black. Always dressed in black like the Omen. Start jogging or something if you hate your sexy ass thunder thighs.. Sigh.
Let me try this again since awaiting Mod on my previous post. A , B, A you look very relaxed real in this pic. Thank G-d A finally wore something other then B -lack . Always dresed in B – l ack like the omen. Start jogging or something if you hate your th under thighs.
Goodall is the worst of the worst of the creepy far-left-wing evolutionist worshiping gnostic freaks. I mean honestly, not that long ago, if a the woman started talking about the Chimps like they were people and repeating ‘so close to us’ we’d have the men go and take her home to a lovely hospital. Then we wouldn’t mention it much in public circles.
Now we have to pretend we are celebrating some gnostic ‘mother lucy’ humanism enlightenment. Ugh.
The poor crazy woman.
“Lethargist” was an obvious comeback, but I was waiting for someone to say “letharGISM.”
You’d expect Jane Goodall on NPR, not Adam’s show. Who’s bright idea was it to book her?
ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…did that old lady stop talking yet? (I mean Adam on taxes.)
I just finished jacking off to the photo of Minka Kelly. After I finished I scrolled up to read the page and I thought it was actually a good photo of Alison at the top of the page – they look nice and perky today Alison!
So I had at myself again and now I am sore.
Jane Goodall: I went out to Africa and met the famous paleontologist Louis Leakey…
Adam: Sure!
Classic.
This may be the most attractive picture of Alison that I’ve seen. Looking good.
Adam, It IS all about percentage. Top earners HAVE to pay a progressively higher tax rate. It was always that way until 1980. Before that, we in the US were building roads and bridges, funding public schools that were globally competitive, developing the best infrastructure in the world, and on and on. ‘Conservative’ policies became the rule and 40 years later we are reaping the results.
Know this: Money flows to the top. You don’t work any harder than I do but I will never make $1 million/year. That’s ok. I do well for myself. I’m not a banker, C*O of a transnational corporation, major-league ball player, Hollywood entertainer, inventor, high-profile lawyer, politician, or old-money trust fund slacker. But I am a dude who got a college degree, busted my ass in my field, worked many a long week–fuck, I once worked a 36-hour DAY.
I try to improve myself every day, JUST LIKE YOU. I have achieved numerous certifications in my field just to stay sharp. But again, I will never earn a million dollars in a year.
My point is: Stop equating your riches with your ‘hard work ethic’. We should live in a nation where minimum wage does not equate to poverty.
Do you want to be a rich man in a third-world country? Warren Buffet doesn’t.
I like the dress, please tell me there were not black boots down there in the summer in LA
Ha! And how about Aceman saying “and by the way” filling the blank space
“Whitney” was fucking horrible…
That’s because her clothes don’t distract from her beauty. Put women in a potato sack, you’re a genius and you’re an idiot.
He was being deferential.
I think you need to learn to distinguish between singular and plural before you begin to use words like genius. That, and make some fucking sense next time.
Alison’s looking fine in that picture.
I love listening to the Aceman, but his views on taxation are going to push me away.
The rich should pay progressively higher rates of taxes.
If I keep on hearing these comments from Ace, I’m gone. No more podcasts downloaded, no more books bought, no more Amazon click-throughs.
No matter how entertaining this guy is, I can’t support him if he’s against what’s only fair and just.
Well said! Ace, take heed!
anyone else have the balls to do what Jane Goodall did?
I didn’t think so.
She’s a legend.
I wish I was single……and hot……and living in Cali…….and anything else that would give me a chance with the queen Alison Rosen. I would give her the best 10 minutes and 4 1/2 inches of her life.
Sorry, did I say that out loud?
Adam: Maybe she just wanted to get you out of the house, though. Maybe this was all part of a ploy just to clear you out; it was this or boarding school.
Jane: You cannot imagine how wrong you are.
HA!!
GET THAT DROP, BRYAN!
Dipweed, in 1980 we were living the Carter disaster, stagflation was peaking, we were losing to the Soviets and embarassing ourselves internationally.
Reagan happened and America had the largest peace time economic expansion in world history, we bankrupted the Commies, and everything improved, except liberal bastions like education and welfare culture.
You’re a retard. That’s why you’ll never make $1 million.
The wealthy pay a higher rate on earned income and pay more total taxes – by FAR. The low tax rate you usually hear about is the rate on capital gains. And even this rate is too high. It is a tax on top of a tax. That being said, there are loop holes that should be closed. i.e. off shore tax avoidance maneuvers and income deference to later years.
This is a “dry” subject unless you are one of those people paying an absolute fortune in taxes and are being told you are “not paying your fair share”. It is infuriating and a lie.
Adam! Please post the time frame in which you will be whining like a little bitch about that heavy, heavy tax burden you have to bear so I can fast forward through it! Seriously, Im a loyal fan, But it makes me sick to hear your policies on taxes and public aid. Alison’s analogy with the Donut hole was much more appropriate.
Regean didn’t do shit as President. He woke up in time to deliver a speech someone else wrote for him, then went to bed about 6 hours later while other people did his “job.”
Yeah I know my heart bleeds for the guy who has to pay taxes yet can afford a mansion,8 house keepers,50 classic cars and who can put his twins through private school.
I’ll just keep starving and freezing every winter up here in Maine, but will worry about Adam paying too much in taxes.
You keep your double chin up buddy someday life will get easier for you….someday.
What’s up with that one guy in the mug shot with the creepy Jason Voorhees eye? Talk about creepy.
Worst. Show. Ever.
Seriously??? Jane fucking Goodall? Rich white guy whining about paying taxes? Wow… this show sucked monkey ass!
Adam you’re funny, stick with that. Your views on taxes is INSULTING! Been working hard busting my ass for years, have a BA and never rely on Government hand outs… 22 percent of my wages being taken away barely can pay rent, food and bills. I’d much rather give 55% of a million dollar salary any day.
does alison have a big ass?
This was one interview – Jane Goodall – Adam should have handed over to Alison to cover. She would have done the research to ask great questions and would have been genuinely interested in the answers
Isn’t Adam’s “70′s swinger guy” costume supposed to be Leisure Suit Larry? It has an L.L. monogram on the lapel.
Ace,
Wow. More rich guy bitching. You used to be a working class guy and used to identify with the rest of us working class guys. With each passing day, you sound more and more like a bitchy rich white Republican.
Get back to your roots and concentrate on being funny.
I can’t believe how people complain about how much money Adam makes and how you think he should pay more taxes (or not). If you have a problem with it, then blow up the IP law in this country.
You people act like he is taking this money from people at the point of a gun. He puts it out there and we eat it up and he gets money from it (from me in the form of a purchase of his book, BCCs and listening to his commercials).
You people can do exactly what Adam does. That is what America is all about. Opportunity and the freedom to take whatever path and chances that you would like.
If you aren’t as funny or interesting than him then you need to work at it. Otherwise take a different path. Some people are funny, beautiful, or whatever and they are worth more than people like me or you because of the IP laws and societal preferences. That is a fact and you can’t argue with it.
If you don’t like how much Ace makes then don’t support him monetarily. He isn’t making you click-though or buy his book. He still welcomes you to listen for free regardless.
And for those who believe in a progressive tax policy, I am fine with that if you agree that those who don’t pay taxes shouldn’t be allowed to vote. Without that provision it is like the kids in a family deciding how the parents spend the money and it is undeniably unsustainable.
But that is something that I’m sure neither of us really agree with. So something like the fair or flat tax should be something that we should be able to agree on. Even if either of those aren’t perfect (which I admit they aren’t), they certainly are FAR better than the quagmire that is the current system.
Right on Peter B!
I’d like to add that I wish we’d stop referring to middle-class Americans as “hard-working Americans”, or if we do, we start abbreviating them to “HAMs”. The truth is, most all of us who work, work hard. But not all work is created equal and those who make more, in general, spend smarter.
The middle class’ only problem, in my opinion, is that they believe that they are entitled to being middle class. They believe that it is their right to own a home, an iPhone for each member of their family, and trips to the mall each weekend. The majority of wealthy tend to be where they are because they forego such entitlements and pursue furthering their business/career instead with that earned money instead.
Lastly, the only people who could find Adam’s rants on taxes boring are those who aren’t paying into the system. If you pay and care about your money, then you should find a sympathetic ear and enjoy the rant.
Alright, as you were, fuckers.
loved this. who else could rant about an breadbowl like adam. even allison played along well in this episode. and having jane goodall as a guest brought the show to a whole new level/ even when adam asked jane the question “what’s the monkey’s sex name?” truly adam! thanks for the laughs, ace man.
That higher percentage rich citizens pay is called the “America Tax.” We have this so our country doesn’t end up like Mexico, Egypt, or Brazil. Grab a globe, find a country you’d like to raise a family in, and you’ll find they also tax the shit out of the rich.
Thanks for all your efforts that you have put in this. very interesting info .
I pointed at this country called Monaco and they happened to not have a income tax. But I guess I pointed at the wrong country, maybe I should point at another one…. Hold on. Cayman Islands. Those seem like pretty nice places to live also.
